Thermo for Excel runs on Excel versions 5 and 7. Separate versions are available for English or Metric units. This Excel version allows users to get thermodynamic data via a dialog window or Excel Paste Functions. All the thermodynamic routines are made available as Excel Paste Functions which provide a convenient method of building equations incorporating thermodynamic property calls. The Excel software will run anywhere Excel runs, including Macintosh, Windows, and Windows NT, although the best performance is obtained by specifying your operating system when ordering the software.

Note that while the dialog window provides a convenient method of looking up values and storing them in a database, users benefit most from building equations in Excel spreadsheets that use the Paste Functions. Equations can be linked to model or design thermodynamic processes. Note: our Windows software described below provides a demonstration of equations for a cycle that is linked to a process diagram that can be custom built by user's.
Order InfoThermodynamic Link Libraries (DLL) and UNIX Libraries
The underlying routines supporting the Thermo products are available as DLL's and UNIX libraries. In addition to steam functions, Ammonia and Sulfur Dioxide gas functions are available. Additional gas functions can be added to this library on a time and materials basis. Your company would have to specify the accuracy required, the range of interest and the reference material to develop the functions. Typically it will take under 40 hours for EMANON to develop a set of functions for a new gas and integrate them with the DLL Library. The add-in to Thermo for Excel and Windows (if desired) will then be added free of charge.Prices
